THE INTENT:
To amend section 12.4.2 Site Specific Permitted Uses of the C3 - Service Commercial Zone
by adding the following:
"Manufacturing, Light, limited to the assembly of light duty electric vehicle conversion kits and the research and development of electric vehicle systems" to the property legally described as: Lot 2, District Lot 362, Range 5, Coast District, Plan 8897 (5130 Highway 16 West)

PURPOSE:
To add a light industrial site-specific permitted use at 5130 Highway 16 West, to enable a light duty electric vehicle conversion kit assembly and research facility in conjunction with a vehicle sales, leasing and service operation.

2.0 To amend Schedule 'C' (Development Permit Areas) of the Official Community Plan by
removing the subject land as shown hatched and in bold outline on the accompanying map, from Development Permit Area No. 5 - Commercial and adding the subject land to Development Permit Area No. 6 - Industrial.

PURPOSE:
To permit light industrial uses on the subject property.
