The Development Services Department is responsible for:

• Planning, including long-range planning and the processing of zoning, subdivision, development permit and variance permit applications;
• Building permits and inspections 
• Business licences (including plan reviews and inspection services)
• Mapping and GIS;
• Bylaw enforcement; 
• Animal control; and 
• Climate Action & Sustainability.
