Drive into downtown on the Old Skeena Bridge and you may notice a new addition – the new Welcome sign, in front of the Legion, on the southeast corner of Apsley Street and Lakelse Avenue.

The sign, which includes a greeting in English and in the local Tsimshian language of Sm’alygyax, was installed Wednesday, July 24. It's surrounded by new landscaping and newly installed nearby benches.

This sign and the many other improvements the City is making between the Old Skeena Bridge and the entrance to downtown are all part of the Lakelse Gateway Connection Project.
