The Terrace & District Aquatic Centre will shut down for its annual closure between September 7 and 27. Passholders will be credited for days lost during this time.
This annual closure is needed to complete preventative maintenance on all areas of the TDAC, including the pools, steam rooms, whirl pool, gym, and mechanical areas. We also use the annual closure to inspect for damage and undertake repairs that can’t take place during the rest of the year while the facility is open to the public. Overall, the annual closure keeps the pool healthy and functional, which helps reduce maintenance-related service impacts throughout the year.
During the closure of the pool, the Sportsplex remains open for fitness classes—and we will also be installing the ice in our arenas in September as well. (Stay tuned for more information about skating and the September fitness schedule coming soon.)
