On Monday, May 13, the City of Terrace announced six new members for the Order of Terrace, an award given to select individuals in recognition of outstanding contributions to the wellbeing of the community.
The 2024 recipients include the following individuals:
- Patti Chapman
- Lynne Christiansen
- Marylin Davies
- Bonnie Juniper
- Michael Kenyon
- Carol Leclerc
The award recognizes significant achievement and service to the community in a wide variety of fields, including but not limited to business and entrepreneurs; arts and entertainment; science and academics; health and education; sports and youth leadership; volunteer and community service; and charitable donations.
The nomination period ran from February 8 to March 22, 2024. Any person or group could submit a nomination, and those previously nominated but not awarded would also be eligible for consideration.
Recipients of the Order of Terrace will be bestowed with membership in the Order of Terrace in a public ceremony, to be scheduled later in 2024.
