City of Terrace Flood Risk Continues to Decrease

Feature
Emergency Services

The latest CLEVER model from the River Forecast Centre is showing the flood predictions for the Skeena River at Usk continue to drop to 5-year flood levels or lower, as of the June 6 update. The City of Terrace continues to monitor these numbers as well as the physical conditions of the City’s low-lying areas and infrastructure, but the risk to the community remains very low. Flood preparations over the last week undertaken by the Emergency Operations Centre team have ensured the City is prepared should the forecast shift again.

Our next update will be released should any significant changes occur; residents can continue monitoring our communications channels, including our website at https://www.terrace.ca/flooding2022 and the City’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
