Courtesy Post: Copper Mountain Access Road Temporary Closure

When: Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26, 6 am to 8 pm

BC Hydro will be temporarily closing the access road to the top of Copper Mountain to allow crews to safely deliver necessary oversized equipment to the facility at the top of Copper Mountain.

*NOTE – While weather conditions look good over the next few days, BC Hydro has noted that the equipment being transported is large and heavy, so rainy conditions on the day of or days leading up to could result in the date being changed at short notice due to soft road conditions.

BC Hydro apologizes for the inconvenience this road closure may cause, but needs to ensure the safety of both the crews and the recreational users of this industrial access road.

BC Hydro would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Crews will work to open the road as quickly as can be accomplished safely.
