Councillor Jessica McCallum-Miller Resigns from Council

By-election will be required to fill seat

Councillor Jessica McCallum-Miller Resigns from Council

City Hall

City of Terrace Councillor Jessica McCallum-Miller has resigned from her position on Council, effective immediately.

“Councillor McCallum-Miller provided an important and distinct perspective on many issues up for consideration at our council meetings. She often challenged the status quo and raised questions that others had not. A city council is always better with a range of voices, and ours was better for having her on it. We will miss her honesty, dedication, and thoughtfulness. I would like to thank her for her service to the community and wish her all the best,” said Mayor Carol Leclerc.

McCallum-Miller was elected for her first term with the City of Terrace in 2018; the term ends in the fall of 2022, so a by-election will be required to fill McCallum-Miller’s seat. The City will be providing by-election information in the coming weeks.

Members of the public wishing to run for office will be able to find candidate information on the City’s website: https://www.terrace.ca/elections
