The City has a long-awaited new Zamboni...and it's electric! This new machine is safer, quieter and less expensive to run. It will also decrease the City's carbon footprint.
The Zamboni is fueled by a lithium-ion battery and is plugged into a charging station on the wall to recharge and has a digital dashboard.
The electric Zamboni replaces an almost 20-year-old Zamboni, which was fueled by propane.
Fast facts about the new machine:
- Make & Model #: Zamboni 650
- Body is made of fiberglass
- Water capacity: 200 gallons
- Blade length: 77 inches
Funding for the new Zamboni came from the Terrace Community Forest and the North West Regional Benefits Alliance (RBA). Thank you for your support!
