Funding partners for this project are
Rotary Clubs of Terrace - Contributed $250,000+ to develop the Rotary Splash Park. $250,000 was given to the City of Terrace to cover Splash Park equipment purchase, site preparation, pad construction and equipment installation. Considerable in kind donations were acquired (dollar amount still to be determined) by the Rotary Clubs to keep the costs down on this project. Contributors will have their names acknowledged in the Splash Park.
Kinsmen Club of Terrace - Contributed $150,000 towards the upgrade to their existing Kin Play Park. $45,000 was a financial donation to purchase new equipment and $100,000 was the value of the main structure piece of pre-existing equipment that was key to the success in recieving the 150 Canada Infrastructure funding.
Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program - The City received a $268,000 grant through this funding program to upgrade the Kin Play Park and Fitness Play area. The program requirement was to upgrade and improve existing infrastructure. This money has been used to replace the surfacing of the playground and purchase equipment.
City of Terrace - The City set aside $250,000 to do the site works, service-tie ins, equipment purchase, lighting upgrades and surfacing upgrades in the Fitness Play area.
