Regular Council Meeting: 7:30 pm
Regular Council:
- Representatives from Kitselas Geothermal Inc. will be inviting Council to participate in the consultation process associated with their application to the British Columbia Energy Regulator (BCER) for a geothermal energy exploration program near Lakelse Lake;
- Council will receive the Government Finance Officers Association News Release for information;
- Council will consider allocating sufficient funds from the General Surplus budget to various Northern Healthy Communities Fund initiatives;
- Council will consider allocating $110,000 from the Covid Safe Restart Reserve to offset increased sick time costs in 2022, and an additional $110,000 from the Covid Safe Restart Reserve to offset increased sick time costs in 2023;
- Council will consider amending the Sewer and Water Frontage Tax and Sewer and Water User Fee Bylaws to reflect the approved rate increases in 2023;
- Council will consider allocating an additional $18,000 from the Local Government Climate Action Program Reserve Fund to be added to the existing 2023 capital project for the development of a Green Fleet Plan for the City of Terrace in 2023;
- Council will receive the February 2023 Building Synopsis for information; and
- Council will consider the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd readings of the following bylaws:

- Sewer Connection and Rates Amending Bylaw
- Water Distribution and Sale Amending Bylaw
- Sewer Frontage Tax Amending Bylaw
- Water Frontage Tax Amending Bylaw.
Committee of the Whole (Development Services Component):
- Council will review a Development Variance Permit (DVP) application for the property at 4760 Lakelse Avenue. The applicant, Mission Evergreen Ltd. (and their tenant Four Rivers Co-op) , is requesting to increase the maximum sign area for a freestanding sign from 7.5 square metres to 8.47 square metres.
