Regular Council Meeting: 7:30 pm
On the regular council meeting agenda:
- Anyone from the public who wishes to speak to the 2019 Annual Report may do so at the beginning of the meeting during the Public Input period;
- Representatives from the Terrace Minor Hockey Association will be requesting that that the City install the ice surface in the main arena for the user groups of Terrace;
- A representative from the Terrace Daycare Society will be seeking a letter of community support for their grant application to the Childcare BC New Spaces Fund;
- Council will be discussing the proposed Official Community (OCP) Plan Bylaw amendments for the properties related to the proposed NSD Inland Port. Should Second Reading of the OCP Bylaw amendments pass, the process will proceed to a municipally led consultation period with stakeholders and the community at large, prior to proceeding to formal Public Hearing.
- Council will be selecting their Directors and Alternate Directors to the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine Board for the 2021 term;
- Staff will be requesting Council's support to submit grant applications to Northern Development Initiative Trust for the 2021 Business Facade Improvement Program and the Main Street Revitalization Capital Program for the "Lazelle Avenue Streetscaping Project";
- Staff will be requesting Council not enforce a regulation restricting construction activity in the Noise Control Bylaw to allow for construction works to occur on Sundays, for the period between April 1, 2021, until October 31, 2025, for the Mills Memorial Hospital Redevelopment Project;
- Council will be reviewing a proposed new budgeting software program for the City; and
- Council will be reviewing and accepting the 2019 Annual Report.
