Historic Details
The British Columbia Provincial Police Station is a small, one-storey, wood-frame building with a hipped roof. B.C. Provincial Police station and jail (Lockup). Will Little was the builder of this structure. Tom Parsons, the original Terrace Officer went on to become Commisioner of the B.C. Provincial Police.
Today
Today, the building continues to occupy the original site, so the entire property has heritage value and character. Additions to the building in the 1950s maintained the original character and architectural features. The property is in the C7 Downtown Tourism District and adds to the character of the district. This is a significant site to be protected. Today, it is the home of the Terrace & District Chamber of Commerce.
