2021 Earth Day Garbathon
Sunday, April 25, 12–4 pm
This year’s event will be COVID style! We encourage everyone to show your love for our community by cleaning up our local neighbourhoods, trails, riverbanks, or commercial areas downtown.
Where to drop off collections: Farmers Market parking lot at George Little Park
Geier Waste is donating a garbage dumpster and ABC Recycling is donating a metal disposal container for the event which will be located at the Farmers Market parking lot next to George Little Park where everyone can drop off their collections between 12 noon and 4 pm.
Prizes:
Prizes are donated by SkeenaWild, Greater Terrace Beautification Society, Regional District of Kitimat Stikine, and the Terrace Refillery! Participants can post pictures of their cleanup activities on the Facebook event page, or enter when they drop off their collections at the Farmers Market location between noon and 4 pm on April 25 to win some great prizes!
Remember to be safe and practice physical distancing while out in the community!!
