This activity is happening in local parks on Ferry Island, Grand Trunk Pathway and Howe Creek. Many trees have been ringed and stripped already. Please report prohibited activity to 250-615-3000. Read more
Leisure Services
The Terrace Fire Department has issued a complete fire ban within the city limits due to the "extreme" rating of forest fire hazard in the Northwest Fire Centre. The ban includes backyard food fires, however use of propane and briquette BBQs are permitted for use. Ferry Island is also included in the fire ban. Read more

There is more transformation on the horizon for the 4600 block of Greig Avenue in downtown Terrace. While significant upgrades are being made to the underground and above-ground infrastructure, the largest parcel on what is formerly known as the Co-op Property is now available for redevelopment and the City will soon execute a Request for Proposal process.
