On Monday, September 28, there will be a regular Council meeting for the City of Terrace. It will be open to the public for viewing and participation during the usual designated time at the end of the meeting. We will be starting the night with a public hearing at 7:00 pm that is also open for public viewing and participation.
**NOTE: Unfortunately, the downstairs overflow room at City Hall is unavailable during this meeting. Options for viewing include the physically distanced seats inside Council chambers, seats in the hallway, or viewing from home. On the public hearing agenda:
- Council will be considering passing third reading and adoption of site specific Zoning Bylaw text amendment for the property located at 3309 Kalum Street. The applicant has requested to add Microbrewery/Craft Distillery as a permitted use on the property at 3309 Kalum Street.

On the regular council meeting agenda:
- Kitselas First Nation Councillor Lynn Parker and Director of Infrastructure, Public Works, And Housing Ulyses Venegas will be requesting a letter of support from Council for their multi-plex style community centre;
- Michael McFetridge from the Terrace & District Community Services Society (TDCSS) will be providing an update on the Terrace Foundry, as well as requesting a letter of support for a grant application for the Foundry;
- Council will be reviewing an application for a Development Variance Permit for the property located at 5004 Park Avenue. The applicant would like to construct a carport attached to the east side of their dwelling;
- Council will be discussing the possible extension of approved Temporary Expanded Service Area (TESA) authorizations. Since May 2020, the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) has allowed liquor service businesses to temporarily expand their liquor service areas;
- Staff will be requesting Council’s support to submit an application to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program for the Eby Staircase Connection Project; and
- Council will be reviewing the September 2020 Building Synopsis.
